Mike is an independent consultant specialising in leadership
development for project sponsors, managers and team members. Mike has
produced a range of development material focusing on the practical
application of leadership behaviours, tools and techniques as a means to
delivering sustainable value through projects and programmes. Mike is

Before starting his consulting business, Mike was a senior IS manager with National Grid undertaking a number of roles in portfolio, programme and service management in support of the Gas Distribution and Electricity Transmission businesses in the UK.
His experience in leading a number of complex, multi-party IS development programmes and in addressing the inevitable issues associated with such activities, led Mike to realise the importance of leadership and leadership behaviours at all levels of the programme team to successful delivery and sustainable value creation. Whilst there is a wealth of material available on the development of leadership behaviours, it is not always easy to focus in on the key behaviours that matter in a given circumstance, or to turn theory into practice in real life project situations. Mike aims to help programme sponsors and managers work with their teams, or with key individuals, to develop high performing leadership skills. This is achieved through tailored training or through individual coaching and mentoring.
Mike trained as a Power Systems Engineer and gained a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and a qualified Prince practitioner.
